3/9/2009, Friday

prawning at Ebiculture, at Hougang.

SL, Kaleryn, Vivian, Yeesin, Karen, Soeng May, Ruth, Cheryl, Eric, Marc, Marcus, Kelvin, Yuan Wei, Guo Wei, Hong Chun, Felicia, Jessica, CharmaineC., Li Yen, Chiawei, Peng Song, Bryden were there.
sorry if I missed out any!

shared a rod with Cheryl, & she managed to catch only one, at the very last minute!
lol.
& Kelvin was being very patient while catching yabbies!
he was the only one who caught 2 of them.
LOL nice one! (Y)

some nice people who were there gave us prawns that they caught. (:
think they only came to prawn for the fun of it.
and we got a big bag of yabbies too, by the management I think.
haha.

went to wash the prawns, pluck out the pincers(?) & skewered them.
BBQ-ed, while some of the rest went to play pool.
ate, slacked & had a chat w Cheryl, Liyen & Chiawei, then left for home soon after.
no pictures for now, as the pics taken was by Cheryl's DSLR.

Today

Today's the Mid Autumn Festival, & I've got no plans! ):
everyone seems to be going out today.
and speaking of this,
I've realised that other than buying mooncakes and eating them, playing with fire/candles for us, while the little ones run around playing with lanterns and sparklers, it seems to be just it.
all these traditions like Mid Autumn Festival & Chinese New Year, they all seem to be lost in this complicated world.

My blog posts are getting boring!
I'm not in the mood to blog today..
Plan to rot at home today, & practice scores.
especially the ending pose for B da zhu!
suck at it, argh. ):
my world seems kind of grey; it's not colourful anymore.
it's such a big contrast to how I thought it would be.

on a happier note, here's an interesting email I received from a friend of mine.

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as 'Euro-English' .

In the first year, 'S' will replace the soft 'c'. Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy.
The hard 'c' will be dropped in favour of 'k'.
This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.
There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome 'ph' will be replaced with 'f'. This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.
Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.
Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent 'e' in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.

By the 4th yer, people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing 'th' with 'z' and 'w' with 'v'.

During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary 'O kan be dropd from vords kontaining 'ou' and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensibl riten styl.
Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi TU understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.
Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas.

hahaha try to understand the last few paragraphs!
I shal go practise my skors now, se yu.
bye!
